The Battle for Washington D.C was a battle where Erik Lensherr attempted to destroy Washington D.C. and America.
History[]
George Bush sent Sentinels to the Savage Land after he tracked Scott Summers's Blackbird landing there. Lensherr reprogrammed them and rode them to Washington D.C. to destroy America. He went after Bush while the Sentinels fought the X-Men who were in the city. The X-Men destroyed the Sentinels while Charles Xavier saved Bush from Lensherr. As Lensherr prepared to kill Xavier, James Howlett slashed him in the back and Pietro Lensherr took his helmet off. This allowed Xavier to enter Lensherr's mind and turn his body into an electromagnetic attracting Sentinel debris. It was detonated and Xavier pronounced dead.
