Clint Barton is the master archer Hawkeye. He was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and a member of the Ultimates. He was one of the supporting protagonists of the The Ultimates, and is currently the main protagonist of his own series Ultimate Comics: Hawkeye.
Biography[]
Barton was a member of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s shadow ops team, before becoming a member of the Ultimates. He and often partner Natalia Romanova's first known mission was eliminating Chitauri sleeper agents in two buildings. Barton was doing successful on his building until a bomb went off, and Barton barely survived. Romanova saved Barton from advancing Chitauri, and the two later went to a presentation Nick Fury gave to Anthony Stark, Thor, Wanda Lensherr, and Pietro Lensherr about the Chitauri. The Chitauri base was determined to be in Micronesia, and the Ultimates went there via Helicarrier. It was actually a trap, and Barton only survived the ensuring nuclear explosion through Stark's shields. After Chitauri ships appeared in Arizona, Thor teleported the Ultimates and surviving soldiers there. Barton fought on the ground, and had to deal with falling debris from Thor attacking the spaceships. The Ultimates won the battle and the Chitauri were defeated.

A master archer and operator, Barton is easy-going. He understands death lies just around the corner, and calls his family before every assignment.
