Osborn Industries, sometimes shortened to Oscorp, is a scientific development company founded by Norman Osborn.
History[]
The company was formed by Norman Osborn as a scientific research company, and grew into one of New York's famous companies when Nick Fury commissioned them to recreate the Super-Soldier serum. The company rushed the process and it led Fury to cancel the commission. Osborn then began to develop OZ, a chemical that can mutate and exaggerate body functions. It was tested on animals, including the 00 Spider. However, the 00 Spider bit Peter Parker as he toured the Osborn Industries building. Osborn sent Shaw to take Peter's blood sample, and found him dying and ordered Peter killed. After Peter used his Spider Sense to survive, Osborn had his son Harry Osborn give Peter a tour of the company. However it was staged for Otto Octavius to get a sample of Peter's blood. After he was seen to be genetically superior to normal humans, Osborn ordered himself injected with OZ. At Osborn Industries the procedure took place, and Osborn created a huge explosion as he mutated into the Green Goblin and fled the building. A planned reopening was scheduled with Osborn's brief return, but assumed cancelled with his capture by S.H.I.E.L.D..
