The Savage Land was the mysterious base of the Brotherhood of Mutants, but has become a disaster zone.
History[]
The Savage Land was discovered by Erik Lensherr and Charles Xavier who decided to use it as a preserve for Mutants. After Xavier left, it became the base of the Brotherhood of Mutants, hidden by Lensherr's shielding. It was not discovered until Scott Summers flew there with the Blackbird to defect. George Bush then sent Sentinels to the Savage Land which Lensherr reprogrammed and sent back to Washington D.C. to destroy them. The United States later sent soldiers to the Savage Land to contain it and start stripping it for technology. After six months, all the soldiers were abducted by the Savage Land's supercomputer, which began rebuilding them into a half-organic, half-technological race. Xavier sent Summers and James Howlett back to the Savage Land to investigate, and Kitty Pryde stowed away on their Blackbird. After discovering her, Summers sent her back to the ship as they went underground to find the soldiers. Encountering some of the new race and the supercomputer responsible, the two were shocked when Kitty returned and accidentally destroyed the computer.
Landscape[]
Savage Land is a massive a jungle populated by dinosaurs and prehistoric flora. It is an island in the Southern Hemisphere with its sole structure being Lensherr's base.
