The Ultimates 8: The Experts is the eighth issue of The Ultimates.
Summary[]
Clint Barton and Natalia Romanova begin to initiate a S.H.I.E.L.D. strike operation on two office buildings on opposite sides of a street. Barton enters in and begins shooting everybody in the building with arrows, Romanova doing the same on her building, with S.H.I.E.L.D. soldier supports. Things go easily as they kill everybody in their target zones until a bomb explodes on Barton's side of the building. Barton hangs on to a beam with one soldier clinging to his leg with office workers approaching him with weapons. Romanova jumps out the window of her building, grabs a rifle a soldier in a helicopter throws down, and saves Barton. At the Ultimates base afterwards, Nick Fury introduces Romanova and Barton to Thor and Anthony Stark, as well as temporary agents Wanda and Pietro Lensherr. Romanova scolds the two for not aiding them at all, but Pietro insists he used his superspeed and saved them twice. Fury gives a presentation explaining that the planet houses eleven alien spices, and one, the shapeshifting and durable Chitauri, are responsible for World War II and are genocidal maniacs. He explains that they were thought extinct after World War II, but have popped up again, and were the targets of Barton and Romanova's missions. They look at a Chitauri corpse when Fury gets a call that Steve Rogers is in Chicago going to apprehend Henry Pym for beating Janet van Dyne. Fury tries to call off Rogers, but he has already encountered Pym.
