"I went back to the sewers 3 times over the last day in the half. Just to make sense of it all. Try to figure out what I saw. Because I really, really, really, don't know what to make with it."

Summary[]

Two burglars rob a lady, and head to escape in the sewers. One is apprehensive about going down the sewers, and his partners enters to prove that it is fine, but is eaten. The next part of the issue is presented is a letter by Curt Connors to his wife, explaining that the university cut the funding to his five-year project to use lizard DNA to regenerate limbs. He injected himself, and as a television report goes on to say, possibly mutated into a lizard creature. Peter is interested by this, having heard rumors of a 'lizard man', and went to the swamp to find Connors. He was attacked by Connors mutated as a lizard, but the Man-Thing emerged from nowhere, healed Connors, and vanished. Peter was disturbed, and in an e-mail to Mary Jane Watson, wondered that Bruce Banner was right in it 'all being connected'. He deleted the e-mail, and Connors dropped the letter at his wife's house.
