Ultimate Spider-Man 23: Responsible is Ultimate Spider-Man's twenty-third issue.
Summary[]
Peter escapes the Osborn Penthouse and throws up, and wonders what he is going to do. Twelve minutes ago Norman Osborn, in his Green Goblin form, talks about using hypnosis to have Harry Osborn respect him again. He returns to normal with a reverse injection and tells Peter that he works for him, and that he will do his bidding or Peter's family and friends will be hurt. They go out to see Harry and listen to a news report and interview Osborn gave explaining that he believes Justin Hammer sabotaged his facilities and stepped out of hiding after Hammer's death. Peter runs out and returns home to May Parker feeling dejected, and May forgives him for being out late with Mary Jane Watson last night. Mary Jane calls him from her bedroom and as Peter starts to go over what happened, he sees Gwen Stacy in the window. She comes inside his basement saying she has no place to go, and Peter has to hang up and run to get May. May cooks eggs for Gwen and George Stacy comes by as well. The next day at school Peter tries to tell Mary Jane about what happened and Gwen interrupts to thank him, and the PA system calls Peter to room 222. He sees the same counselor he saw after Osborn attacked the school the last time, and she reveals he knows he is Spider-Man.
