Ultimate X-Men 12: End Game was the twelfth Ultimate X-Men issue, the conclusion in the Weapon X story arc.
Summary[]
Victor Creed shows James Howlett his new modifications and new claws and charges him to finally get revenge for being in Howlett's shadow. The X-Men and Brotherhood of Mutants begin attacking Weapon X while Abraham Cornelius tells John Wraith that Charles Xavier waking up is the prime concern. The X-Men near, and Wraith shoots Xavier in the chest and flees. In the forest, Creed accidentally frees Howlett, starting a true fight. Henry McCoy tracks Cornelius down to get revenge for the modifications he gave him, but finds Cornelius requesting help to operate on Xavier. Creed knocks out Howlett, revealing that he preferred Weapon X to any other life as they recognized that Mutants are trash. The Mutants heard the members of Weapon X into a main area for Piotr Rasputin to collapse in and kill. Creed begins to drown Howlett, believing that the only way to fully kill him, but Howlett breaks free and tackles him off a waterfall. Jean Gray prevents Rasputin from killing the Weapon X personnel as they are not murders, causing Franklin Dukes to release his grip on Wraith's getaway helicopter. Enraged, Ororo Munroe goes to shoot down the plane, but Kurt Wagner teleports in and saves him only for Nick Fury arrive with S.H.I.E.L.D. and kill Wraith. Howlett arrives and reveals that Fury was who let him escape Weapon X, and that Fury had been working with him the whole time. Back at the repaired Xavier Institute for Gifted Children, Gray talks to a recovering Xavier, who tells her that Erik Lensherr is not dead from the Battle for Washington D.C..
