"Why should people think we're just a mutation of everything BAD about themselves? Isn't there a chance that we could also be an evolution of man's intrinsic capacity for GOOD?"

Summary[]

Charles Xavier writes an article about Mutant-Human relations while Jean Gray uses her powers to reassemble a car for James Howlett. The article continues as the X-Men play baseball and end up playfully fighting with their powers as Xavier watches from his window. Xavier goes on to talk about that Mutants need proper guidance, and he rehabilitated Gray from a schizophrenic, and now she is using her power to help with investigations for missing persons. Ororo Munroe is using her powers to help aid drought-afflicted farmers, Scott Summers is an excellent leader, Bobby Drake is doing well in compassion exercises, and Henry McCoy is spending a lot of time in his laboratory (talking on chat rooms, unbeknownst to Xavier). Piotr Rasputin and Howlett search for people to help in the city, and Xavier tries to dissuade the Brotherhood of Mutants for causing terrorist acts. Xavier takes Rasputin to a park, where he shows him Erik Lensherr, with his memories wiped and powers hidden to it, playing with kids in a park. Rasputin is horrified, but Xavier explains that killing is something Xavier will never do. The X-Men get ready for a magazine photo, with Summers talking to Mortimer Toynbee on the phone, as Xavier sends his article. The next morning Drake angrily tells Xavier that his article was rejected for being to pro-Mutant, but Xavier tells him that it's fine.
