"Do you remember why I was crying at that football match, Dad, even when the Rangers equalized? Do you remember why I said I'd never talk to you again? Because you had your eyes closed for the entire game, Dad. You were talking telepathically to Magneto for the entire ninety minutes and I knew, right there and then, that I didn't have a father anymore."

Summary[]
In a car, the X-Men wonder if Charles Xavier messes with their brains to get them to stay on the team when they see David Xavier in Betsy Braddock's body coming toward them with Xavier and Moira MacTaggert tied up behind him. He approaches the car and easily flips it with his powers. Xavier tells the X-Men telepathically that David is a novice and that they can put-up a fight, and Henry McCoy tries to charge David, but is thrown into an illusion where two beautiful girls are waiting to go on a date with him and David. David offers to fix McCoy's physical appearance, and starts beating McCoy when he refuses. David blocks himself from Ororo Munroe's powers, and destroys the plane the other X-Men are on, but saves them to torture them. Summers hits David with an eye blast, temporarily stunning him for the X-Men to free themselves. Xavier mentally pressures Bobby Drake into trying to fight David, but he is crushed by a car by David who easily notices him. David sends Xavier through the world with him as he kills humans in Paris, Madrid, Rome, and Sydney. Satisfied with Xavier being linked to deaths worldwide, David prepares to kill him, but Braddock temporarily wrests some control of her body back and tells Xavier to kill her and David. Xavier cannot bring himself to do it, but Piotr Rasputin crushes Braddock/David with a car, killing them both. Munroe yell for an ambulance as Drake is not breathing. At Muir Island and Braddock's funeral, Xavier tells McTaggert that the X-Men will not look at him and that he is a failure as a father and teacher. Xavier then announces that the X-Men will be disbanded.
